The duet "Valery and Gleb" was formed in 1987 in structure of student's theatre of a pantomime theatre - studio "Mime" on the basis of the Ural polytechnical institute in Sverdlovsk.
It was the participant and the winner of many student's festivals. Later, becoming professional collective, went on tour across all Russia.
Since 1989 artists have begun the work abroad with studying school of street theatre in Germany. Then performances with solo and children's programs, participation in gala concerts, numerous festivals, masters - classes in Europe and Asia have followed. The collective worked in Germany, France, Denmark, Holland, Slovenia, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, China, Australia, Switzerland, Austria and other countries.
"Valery and Gleb" became winners of the first open competition of the variete art artists "Antre", taking place in 1996 in Saint Petersburg.
1997 - the second premium of international competition "New-camer" in Dortmund (Germany);
1999 - the best clowns of year at competition in Innsbruck (Austria);
In 2002 a duet become winners at once two festivals: "Westschpizen 2002" (Germany) and "The humor cup 2002" (Moscow);
"Valery and Gleb" also have won a prize of spectator sympathies "Golden crow 2003" (Germany).
These known mimes are constant participants of various Russian TV-shows.
The duet "Valery and Gleb" is only one collective, professionally representing art of a pantomime at the modern variete performer stage in Russian at this moment.
This unique creative symbiosis unites in itself the best traditions of the European and Russian humor.
